Pickled Papaya ( Atchara Papaya) – greyzziel

Ingredients:

** Green Papaya
**Carrots
**Onions
**Garlic
**Ginger
**Bell Pepper
**Pepper Corn

Pickling Solution:
**Sliced Fresh Chili pepper
**Vinegar
**Sugar
**Pinch of salt
**Sterilized Glass Jar

Procedure:
1. Grate Green papaya then squeeze it to remove the liquid (bitter taste) then set it aside. 2. Grate carrots.
3. Slice thinly the onions, garlic, ginger and bell pepper.
4. In a mixing bowl add all the ingredients then mix it.
5. For pickling Solution: In a pan add water, vinegar and sliced fresh chili peppers then let it boil. Add sugar while continuously stirring.Once sugar is totally dissolved, taste it and if it’s up to your satisfaction you can remove it from the heat. (Suggested taste should be sour with a sweet and spicy touch).
6. Soak your mixed ingredients in a hot pickling solution then put it in your sterilized jar. (Choose a jar that will not shatter once you pour hot liquid).

Product

This tangy relish is perfect complement for barbecue, any grilled meat or fried meat.   My father likes to have this on  the side when eating his Indian food :).

I created my pickled Papaya last July 2017 and I still have 1 jar left in our fridge.

    1. Hahahha can I call you Win?para shortcut.. ngaun ko lang nkita to at nsa spam at xempre hndi pa marunong lola mo ngaun ko pa nadiscover hahaha.. un nga matrabaho tlaga to pero matagal tagal naman na gamitan 🙂
